The Falcons is a team of employees of ASML participating in the soccer Mid Size League of Robocup. In this league robots of around 40 cm high play a match of 5 robots against 5, fully autonomous. The goal of Robocup is to jointly give a boost to robotics technology worldwide. The whole Robocup project is open source and teams are requested to share all developed software and hardware amongst each other. Almost 2 years ago ASML decided to contribute to this technology innovation and start a robot soccer team on its own.
