Johan works as a GIS consultant at RealDolmen, where he specializes in
developing web and mobile GIS applications and their backend.

His interest in open source GIS systems grew while working on a PhD in
Geology: for his research on spatial prediction of water table
dynamics he used and developed open source projects.

Johan is a contributor to different open source GIS projects: Saga
GIS[1], Debian GIS and the Osgeo live dvd [2], a bootable dvd
demonstrating all important open source GIS software.
